Ukrainian Forum for Renewable Energy Sources (October, 15-16, 2009, Kyiv, Ukrainian House) will bring together key players of the market of renewable energy in Ukraine, working in the segments of the solar energy, wind energy, small hydropower stations, thermal energy, heat pumps.
 
The event will create an information platform and will encourage the development of Ukrainian market of alternative energy. In particular, it will be considered by the use of tax preferences to producers of renewable energy in the light of recently adopted laws on promotion of alternative fuels and energy. One of the key points of the working program of the conference will be mechanisms to attract investment and financing such projects as a whole. There will also be talked about the financing programs that will start the European banks, as well as to discuss the potential of the venture funds, ie direct investment.

Without a doubt, this forum will bring a substantial contribution to the popularization of renewable energy and will become one of the best business and informative grounds for market participants in this field.
Ukraine already operates a «green tariff» on electric power from renewable sources and starting from January 1st, 2010, tax preferences will go into effect for biofuel companies. Taking this into account makes the Ukrainian market of alternative energy very attractive for prospective investors and specialized companies.

Particularly, during the 1st International conference «Alternative fuel - 2006» a unique car, equipped with a hybrid engine developed in Ukraine, was on display. Most recently, on June 5th, 2009 during our IV International conference of «Alternative fuel - 2009» we embarked on a historic trip along Dnieper river aboard a river vessel powered by biodiesel.
